Setting this up

I wish I could say that creating this little website was an easy task. As you can see, it isn't a complex page, with a ground-breaking layout and innovative content. And yet, I did go through countless crises of self to get it to what I really wanted, from the moment I had the idea–literally many months ago–up until this week while adding some final images.

The thing is, in the middle of the process, I lost my way. I made it much harder than it needed to be because I started to question everything. I became so influenced and so pressured by what other people were doing and what a personal website "should" look like, that I forgot what I actually wanted to do.

So here is a reminder to myself. Every time that I get drowned in my own insecurities, it's time to get back to my initial principles and remember why I was creating it in the first place.

This website was made out of my love for personal websites, and the desire to
✦ create something out of professional constraints;
✦ have some fun with CSS;
✦ post my work and projects in a less "job searching" way; and
✦ share what I feel like in the way that I feel like in a (web) place that is purely mine.
